Our story

Pick & Follower is owned and operated by experienced locksmith Chris Jones. If you've been around the industry awhile, you might already know Chris. Either from the training seminars he hosted at MLAA, or from his time as tech support at industry supplier TTK. Chris is the current director of specialist automotive locksmithing firm KeyLab.

Chris has been working as a locksmith for over 13 years now. However what you probably didn't know about him, is that prior to becoming a locksmith he worked as a head hunter for specialist recruitment firms in Auckland and Melbourne. He also has a BHSc majoring in Psychology from AUT.

Chris launched Pick & Follower after a realisation that generalist recruitment firms were unsuitable to service the industry, as they were not aware of the experience and attributes good locksmiths held. They are also not connected to the industry in way, so were unable to offer passive candidate reach like someone from within the industry could.
